Have you ever considered that no one is able to see 1000 pictures from vacation/tour? One of the basic rules of photography: Make a selection. This is valid for the scene you want to fix, but also for the number of pictures you present to others … it’s totally ok to keep all copies, but if exposition should be fun for people that haven’t been with you … reduce the number significantly. In your case, my hunch is 100-120! But not more. In particular, delete pictures that are too similar.
